Our Mission
To support and encourage Slavic Christian homeschooling families by providing Christ-centered
educational opportunities, fellowship, and community.
Our Vision
To see families strengthened in their faith, equipped for homeschooling, and united in a community that seeks to glorify God through learning, discipleship, and service.
Who We Are
Slavic Christian Homeschool Organization (SCHO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated
to supporting Slavic Christian homeschooling families in the Spokane area through educational
programs, fellowship opportunities, and community events.
We are a community of families committed to living out our Christian faith and faithfully discipling our children to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. Together, we seek to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, build meaningful relationships, and honor God in every area of life.
Homeschooling can be both rewarding and challenging. Our desire is to encourage families by
providing opportunities for connection, mutual support, and shared learning experiences. Through our programs and events, parents and children are able to grow spiritually, academically, and socially while building lasting friendships within the homeschooling community.

Statement of Faith
Bible
The Bible is God's unique revelation to mankind. It is the inspired word of God, and is without error. The Bible is the final authority for mankind, and is applicable in our daily lives.
God
We believe that there is only one God, creator and sustainer of all things. He is eternal, and loving. God exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God and was designed to be in loving relationship with Him. God created every individual with intentional and unchangeable design as either male or female.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, and is the second Person of the Trinity. Jesus willingly came down to Earth, was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless human life. He took upon himself the sins of the world and died on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father as our advocate and intercessor. One day He will return in glory to fulfill the ultimate plan of God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation comes through repentance of sin and believing in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins. Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost and deserve the judgment of God for their sin. Salvation cannot be earned through human works, nor can it be purchased, but is received as a free gift from God.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and draws people to Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells in believers, guiding and empowering them to live a holy life for the glory of God, to serve others, and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Body Of Christ
All believers are members of the body of Christ, the one true church. Spiritual unity is to be expressed among Christians by love and acceptance of one another across ethnic, cultural, national, socioeconomic, generational, and denominational lines.
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a God-ordained covenant relationship between one man and one woman as first described in Genesis.
SCHO Co-op
About Our Co-op
The SCHO Homeschool Co-op is one of the primary ways we fulfill our mission of supporting and encouraging Slavic Christian homeschooling families. Through cooperative learning, fellowship, and service, families work together to create meaningful educational experiences for their children.
What We Offer
Our co-op meets during both fall and spring sessions and offers a variety of parent-led classes,
activities, field trips, and special events throughout the year. Classes are designed to enrich
students academically, creatively, socially, and spiritually while fostering friendships among
families.
How Our Co-op Works
As a cooperative, all participating families contribute to the success of the program. Parents remain on-site and actively participate by teaching or assisting in classes. This parent-led model allows families to share their gifts, talents, and knowledge while building a strong and supportive community.
All classes are taught from a non-denominational Christian perspective, with the goal of supporting both academic growth and Christian character development.
Who We Serve
Our co-op is designed to serve homeschooling families within the Slavic Christian community. We strive to create an environment where families can encourage one another, grow in their faith, and build lasting relationships.
Participation Requirements
• Agree with the SCHO Statement of Faith
• Be willing to teach or assist in a class
• Participate in the cooperative model of the organization
